What is Microsoft Intune?
Microsoft describes Intune as a cloud service that secures and manages your organization’s devices and apps. With Intune you can:
- enroll, configure, secure and update devices
- deploy and protect apps
- control which users and devices can access company data
Intune supports platforms including Windows, macOS, iOS/iPadOS and Android, and runs entirely in the cloud. You don’t need your own servers for it. (source)
Personal devices too
Do employees use their own phones? Intune can then manage only the work apps and the data inside them, without touching the rest of the device. When someone leaves, company data can be wiped while personal data stays. If a company device is lost, it can be wiped remotely. (source)
